There are bass that can only be caught with a shad strategy because it floats. From the water surface to a depth of 4m, there are ideal structures that bass prefer, such as weeds, gravel, stumps, tetrapods, stakes, and collapsed revetments, and furthermore, the area is rich in variation with irregular undulations caused by branches and fallen leaves. The High Cut DR-F enables a tight approach in tough situations where bass tend to stay close to structures, allowing you to make contact with something underwater, float it, and navigate around it, bringing even finicky bass to a bite. Additionally, the advantage of "F" (floating) also enables techniques such as "ukase-tsuri" (floating fishing), which efficiently searches a wide range from the diving point up to the floated depth. The floating speed is set to float slightly slower than the High Cut F. By repeating actions such as retrieving for about 30cm, stopping, and letting it float for about 3-4 seconds (※ with a spinning rod and 4lb fluorocarbon line), you can carefully entice bass in a specific range.
