Ashura was born in 2001, and due to its long production history, the mold reached the end of its lifespan, leading to the creation of a new mold in 2019. While inheriting the elements that have maintained its value as an unparalleled 9cm class jerkbait, new elements have been incorporated to further enhance its performance.
Inherited features include:
* The horizontal eyelet ensures the hook points are positioned evenly left and right, increasing hooking rate with a three-hook specification that prevents hooks from tangling.
* The body cross-section is square instead of round, increasing volume and the capacity for onboard weights. Simultaneously, the flat sides create strong flashing, increasing bites.
* Despite its slender body, the development of the low-ride eye allows the moving weight to roll to the tail, increasing casting distance.
Changes include:
* The rear-inserted lip of the old model offered strength, allowing for a thinner base. However, the part that entered the body and the supporting material became heavy, resulting in a deeper forward-leaning posture.
