What is Coconut Oil?
Unlike most vegetable oils, over 90% of this oil is composed of "saturated fatty acids." Therefore, its characteristic is its high resistance to oxidation among vegetable oils.
Even though it's a saturated fatty acid, over 60% of coconut oil is composed of "medium-chain fatty acids" (MCTs), so its properties differ from animal fats and lard, which contain a high amount of "long-chain fatty acids."
Medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs) are efficiently burned as energy and have the characteristic of being less likely to become neutral fats compared to the long-chain fatty acids found in common vegetable oils.
It also does not contain trans fatty acids, which are said to carry risks such as arteriosclerosis and myocardial infarction.
It is liquid at temperatures above 25°C and gradually turns solid as the temperature decreases.
The oil will not solidify in your body even when consumed with cold foods.
The quality does not change even if it repeatedly melts and solidifies.
