"Kirazu Age," a slightly firm okara cracker with a satisfying crispy and crunchy texture, was born in 1995 as a snack made by tofu makers.
At the time of product development, soft snacks were the mainstream, and due to the nature of using okara as a raw ingredient, there were many trials and errors to improve the manufacturing process to prevent it from becoming too hard. Then, at a local co-op exchange meeting, a female member said, "Hard snacks can also be used as a teething toy for children, so please make them!" This feedback from a mother led to the product's commercialization.
**Characteristic wavy shape from original cut**
The distinctive wavy shape is an original cut developed so that even small children can easily break it into crispy pieces. "Kirazu Age" is a snack created with the smiles of the children who will eat it in mind.
