**Product Development Inspired by Mothers’ Voices**

Crispy and crunchy, the slightly firm okara rice cracker "Kirazu Age" was born in 1995 as a snack made by a tofu shop. At the time, soft sweets were mainstream, and because of the nature of using okara as an ingredient, there was trial and error involved in improving the manufacturing process to prevent it from becoming too hard. During this process, a mother’s voice at a local co-op exchange meeting said, "Hard sweets can also serve as a teething aid for children, so please make it!" This feedback led to the product’s development.

**Distinctive Wave-Shaped Original Cut**

The characteristic wave shape was developed to make it easy for small children to break and eat. Kirazu Age was created with the image of smiling children enjoying it.

The word "Kirazu" means "not cut vegetables" and is an old term for okara still used in some regions. Over decades since its launch, the product has expanded to include dozens of flavor variations. We invite children and adults alike to enjoy "Kirazu Age."
