Set in the 1980s. A middle school teacher, Yukio Amarida, who loves school lunches passionately. Continuing to depict his relentless pursuit of the school lunch philosophy, the food drama "Delicious School Lunch" is a landmark. The third series drama, "Delicious School Lunch Season 3," was broadcast in October 2023.
With three drama seasons and two theatrical films, the food drama, which has continually gained passionate fans with each work, is returning to the screen once again. The setting has moved to Hakodate, and the era has finally entered the Heisei period. The unwavering man, Yukio Amarida, played by the well-known lead actor Hayato Ishihara, is a proud and confident figure. The female teacher who serves as Amarida’s educational mentor is Yuno Ohara. The rival student who completely defeats Amarida in the culinary contest is Taisui Tazawa.

【Synopsis】
Winter 1989. Middle school teacher Yukio Amarida arrives in the northern land. His true hidden purpose is to taste "that." However, more than a year after his assignment, "that" has not appeared on the menu. He still goes to school for school lunches and secretly competes daily with his culinary rival, Ken Tsubuki. Meanwhile, new teacher Ai Hirukawa admires Amarida and wishes to be close to him.
At that time, Ninkawa Junior High School is selected as a model school for finishing school lunches. In Ninkawa Town, ahead of the mayoral election, it was being used for political purposes! Sensing the ominous atmosphere, Amarida stands up to protect delicious school lunches! Meanwhile, the ultimate showdown with "that" is about to begin.
