This is a generic aftermarket part for Nissan VQ35DE crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor.
Compatible vehicles: Nissan vehicles equipped with VQ35DE engine, such as Skyline V35 / Fuga Y50 / Fairlady Z Z33 / Stagea M35, etc. Compatible part numbers: 23731-AL605, 23731-AL60C / 23731-AL615, 23731-AL61A / 23731-6J905, 23731-6J90B. Set contents: 1 crankshaft position sensor, 2 camshaft position sensors.
The crankshaft position sensor detects the crank angle and determines the rotational speed and the cycle of each cylinder from the information obtained.
It then determines the timing of fuel injection and ignition for each cylinder.
The camshaft position sensor detects the angle of the camshaft.
It is an essential sensor for detecting how much the camshaft position deviates from the reference angle in order to control variable valve timing (VVT).
If this part breaks, the engine may suddenly stop, leaving you stranded.
Sensors are parts that are prone to trouble due to aging or heat, so if you feel something is wrong, it is safer to consider them consumables and replace them with new ones.
