【西新井大師山門】
この山門は江戸後期の建立で素木造。楼上に五智如来を安置し両脇に寺内安護の金剛力士像が守っています。足立区内唯一の楼門で区の指定文化財でもあります。こんもりとした形が町並みに溶け込み、参詣者を和ませてくれます。
山門の右手に塩地蔵のお堂があります。江戸時代から疣取りその他に霊験があると伝えられ、このお地蔵様の塩を頂いてイボにつけるとイボがとれるとのことで、イボが取れたら塩を倍にして返すそうです。
