A genuine super-telephoto zoom lens covering up to 500mm super-telephoto range

Covers a focal length from telephoto 200mm to genuine super-telephoto 500mm, with a 35mm equivalent of 300-750mm when mounted on a DX-format DSLR, suitable for FX-format super-telephoto zoom lens.

Equipped with VR mechanism equivalent to 4.5 stops of correction, compliant with CIPA standards, strongly supporting super-telephoto shooting. Suitable for beginners and photo enthusiasts alike. When combined with an F8-compatible body and AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14 III, the focal length can be extended to 700mm, and autofocus can be used across the entire zoom range.

NORMAL mode. When used with a digital single-lens reflex camera equipped with an image sensor equivalent to 35mm film size. Measured at the most telephoto end.

Excellent optical performance reproduces the vivid feathers of peacocks realistically.

Supports moving subject photography with VR SPORT mode

VR mechanism has improved performance immediately after camera power-on compared to conventional VR mechanisms. The viewfinder image stabilizes quickly after turning on, allowing for shake-reduced images.

In addition to the VR NORMAL mode suitable for static subjects, SPORT mode is also included, which is effective for photographing moving subjects. SPORT mode provides stable moderate shake correction in the viewfinder, making it easier to track fast-moving subjects, whether they are stationary or in motion, ideal for sports scenes. In SPORT mode, pre-exposure centering is not performed, maintaining stability during high-speed continuous shooting. It also emphasizes the continuity of the viewfinder image when stopping or shaking the camera, making it effective for panning shots. Compatible with tripod and monopod shooting, usable for both still images and videos, regardless of motion.

Depending on the type of tripod and shooting conditions, it may be better to turn off VR.
