AI AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-17E II

The AF-S teleconverter is an attachment lens that, when mounted between AF-S AF-I lenses, enlarges the main lens's focal length by 1.7 times. It features good optical performance, fully utilizes the main lens's capabilities, and provides excellent image quality. It also supports various signal transmissions of the main lens.

The F-value becomes 1.5 stops darker.

Autofocus cannot be used.

With the combination of TC-20E III/TC-17E II, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus and set to AF-S mode.

With the combination of TC-20E III/TC-17E II, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus.

With the combination of TC-14E III, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus. Autofocus is not available when combined with TC-20E III/TC-17E II.

Cannot be used with TC-14E III.

When using the built-in teleconverter with lenses such as TC-14E/TC-14E II/TC-14E III, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with F8 autofocus. When using with TC-17E II/TC-20E/TC-20E II/TC-20E III with the built-in teleconverter, autofocus is not available. If not using the built-in teleconverter, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with F8 autofocus.

Cannot be used with lenses other than those listed above. The rear part of the lens may contact the teleconverter and cause damage, so do not attach it.
Lenses with VR image stabilization can use VR function. Compatible cameras: Nikon digital SLR cameras in FX and DX formats, F6, F5, F100, F80 series, Nikon U2, Nikon U.
Depending on the combination of teleconverter, digital or film SLR camera, and lens, the focal length display in shooting data may not be accurate. Please refer to the user manual of each teleconverter for details.
The AF-S TELECONVERTER TC800-1.25E ED is only available with the included accessory for AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR and is not sold separately.
When attaching the teleconverter to the lens, if the combined open F-value is f/5.6 or f/8, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus. However, autofocus and focus aid are limited to the central focus point or a single central point. Autofocus may not work with low-contrast or low-brightness subjects.
