Missed moments can be recorded retroactively with "Pre-capture".

Using the pre-capture function during high-speed continuous shooting modes like C15 or C30 allows you to record images from before you press the shutter button. When you half-press the shutter button, the camera begins provisional recording of images, and when fully pressed, it saves images from up to 1 second prior. This feature is ideal for capturing birds taking off, soccer players scoring, BMX riders performing tricks, and similar scenarios.
