About this product
A high-performance protective filter that approaches the lens's original rendering power to the extreme with its ultra-low reflection AR coating and high optical performance.
Adopts "Zero One AR Coat," an ultra-low reflection AR coat that pursues a surface reflectivity of approximately 0.1%.
Significantly reduces stress on the glass with Nikon's proprietary "Flat Plane System" mounting technology for the frame.
Achieves high image quality comparable to shooting without a filter.
Uses high-quality optical glass also used in NIKKOR lenses.
Adopts a water-repellent and oil-repellent coating that prevents dirt such as water droplets, oil, and fingerprints from adhering, and is easy to wipe off if it does adhere.
Unprecedented flatness accuracy that does not affect image rendering.

Nikon High-Performance Genuine Lens Protection Filter ARCREST PROTECTION FILTER 52mm AR-PF52 Manufacturer's Description
ARCREST approaches the lens's original rendering power to the extreme.
Adopts "Zero One AR Coat," an ultra-low reflection AR coat that pursues a surface reflectivity of approximately 0.1%.

A high-performance protective filter that protects your valuable lens while achieving high optical performance that minimizes image impact. High-quality optical glass is precisely flat-polished and mounted to the filter frame using Nikon's proprietary "Flat Plane System" mounting technology to maintain its flatness. It adopts the ultra-low reflection AR coating "Zero One AR Coat," which minimizes factors that negatively affect optical performance, has small variations in reflectivity across the entire visible light spectrum, and brings surface reflectivity close to approximately 0.1%. It minimizes color balance shifts, reduces ghosting and flare that degrade rendering performance, and achieves high image quality comparable to shooting without a filter.

It is characterized by being difficult to stain even in harsh shooting environments, and if stained, it is easy to wipe off with a water-repellent and oil-repellent coating, resulting in almost no impact on image quality even when shooting with ultra-high pixel cameras, allowing for worry-free use in various shooting scenes.

Adopts "Zero One AR Coat," an ultra-low reflection AR coat that pursues a surface reflectivity of approximately 0.1%.

Minimizes the degradation of the lens's original rendering power caused by attaching the filter, enabling high-contrast and rich tonal image expression.

High-quality optical glass, also used in NIKKOR, achieving excellent transparency and uniformity.

Comparison of flatness accuracy by diagram and standard.

Newly developed high-precision polishing technology achieves extremely high flatness accuracy with less than one interference fringe. The high flatness of the glass surface minimizes wavefront distortion of incident light to the extreme, without compromising the lens's original rendering power.

If air enters between the filter glass and the standard, interference fringes will occur, and the lower the flatness accuracy and the greater the surface distortion, the more uneven distortion will occur in the interference fringes. However, ARCREST shows almost no fringe occurrence or distortion.

High optical performance achieved through meticulous attention to materials, polishing technology, and mounting technology.

Comparison of resolution (magnified in the red frame).

ARCREST can depict detailed parts of landscape photography with high resolution close to the lens's original rendering power.

Comparison of ghosting (magnified in the red frame).

In urban nightscapes with strong light sources, ghosting is suppressed with ARCREST due to the effect of the Zero One AR Coat.

Adopts an excellent water-repellent and oil-repellent coating.

Adopts a proprietary water-repellent and oil-repellent coating developed for filters. It exhibits high anti-stain performance, making it difficult for dirt such as water droplets, oil, and fingerprints to adhere, and easy to wipe off if it does. It also has high durability, having passed over 1000 wiping tests with a test load of 200g. Water-repellent and oil-repellent coatings are applied to both sides of the glass, allowing you to concentrate on shooting with peace of mind even in harsh shooting environments.

According to ARCREST test conditions. Different from the test conditions for NIKKOR lens fluorine coating.
