The 1.4x teleconverter "AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E II" has been renewed.
With a new optical design that maximizes the optical performance of the master lens, it achieves image quality close to that of the master lens alone and improved autofocus accuracy.
Fluorine coating is applied to the front and rear surfaces of the lens, making it less likely for dirt and water droplets to adhere, and easy to remove if they do.

AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E III

The AF-S teleconverter is an attachment lens that enlarges the focal length of the main lens by 1.4 times when mounted between AF-S G and E type lenses. It provides image quality close to that of the main lens alone and improved autofocus accuracy. It also supports various signal transmissions of the main lens. Additionally, because fluorine coating is applied to the front and rear surfaces of the lens, dirt and water droplets are less likely to adhere, and they can be easily removed if they do.

The F-number becomes one stop darker.
Cannot be used with AF-S (D type) or AF-I lenses.

Single AF shooting is not possible.

With TC-20E III/TC-17E II, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus and set to AF-S mode.

With TC-20E III/TC-17E II, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus.

With TC-14E III, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus. When combined with TC-20E III/TC-17E II, autofocus is not available.

Cannot be used with TC-14E III.

When using the built-in teleconverter with TC-14E/TC-14E II/TC-14E III in combination, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with F8. When using with TC-17E II/TC-20E/TC-20E II/TC-20E III in combination, autofocus is not available. If not using the built-in teleconverter, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with F8.

Cannot be used with lenses other than those listed above. Do not attach it to the rear of the lens, as contact with the teleconverter may cause damage.
Lenses with VR image stabilization can use VR function. Compatible cameras: Nikon digital SLR cameras in FX and DX formats, F6, F5, F100, F80 series, Nikon U2, Nikon U.
Teleconverters may cause incorrect focal length display in shooting data depending on the combination of digital and film SLR cameras and lenses. Please refer to the instruction manual of each teleconverter for details.
The AF-S TELECONVERTER TC800-1.25E ED is only available with the included accessory for AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR and is not sold separately.
When the combined open F-value of the teleconverter and lens is f/5.6 or f/8, autofocus is only possible when mounted on a camera compatible with f/8 autofocus. However, autofocus and focus aid are limited to the central focus point or the single central point. Autofocus may not work with low-contrast or low-brightness subjects.
