By attaching to the camera's accessory terminal, you can do the following via wireless LAN connection:
- Transmit still images and videos taken to a personal computer or FTP server.
- Control the camera from a personal computer using the separately sold Camera Control Pro 2, and save still images and videos taken to the personal computer.
- Browse images and perform remote shooting from the web browser of a personal computer or iPhone.
- Use one camera as a master to synchronously release up to 10 cameras (each equipped with WT-5).
Achieves miniaturization by specializing in wireless communication and receiving power from the camera.
Supports IEEE802.11a, b, g, and newly adopts 11n (1x1), enabling even faster data transfer than WT-4.
