"Nippon Judan Kokoro Tab" started in February 2011 and has since traveled 1,565 km over 5.5 years, for 56 days. Including the "Nagasaki Trip" (broadcast in February 2011) before it became a regular program, that's 564 days. The program has become a staple on BS Premium, and the spring 2017 trip, its 7th year, begins on March 27th. The theme song, "Kokoro Tabi" sung by Ayako Ikeda, which has been used since the first year, will continue to be used in 2017. Also included are the insert song "Choudo Ii Rock Version" sung by Shohei Hino, which was used in the March special, and "Kono Michi wo Yuku," which was a hit in the 2016 broadcast and was released as a digital-only single!
Background music from previous years is available on the original soundtracks SOST-32 "Nippon Judan Kokoro Tab" and SOST-315 "Nippon Judan Kokoro Tab 2014," both of which are popular. In 2014, SOST-318 "Nippon Judan Kokoro Tab Song Collection," featuring songs used in the program by viewer request, was also released to great acclaim.
