●1990年に英国マンチェスターで結成。1991年RCAからシングル曲「プロミス」でメジャー・デビュー。瞬く間に人気を獲得し、解散する1996年までの間に8曲のシングルが全英1位を記録。2016年4月に再結成ツアーを行い、同年11月に再結成後初のアルバムをリリース。アルバムは全英1位の大ヒットを記録。現在も英国を代表する人気グループとして活躍中。今年11月に29年ぶりとなる来日公演が予定されている。
●本作は2006年の再結成時にリリースされたメンバー公認のベスト盤。CDには1991年のメジャー・デビュー・シングルから1996年のシングル曲までRCAに残した全シングル16曲に加え、ライヴ音源、リミックス音源、未発表曲（2006年時）を収録した全19曲。DVDには全シングル16曲のミュージック・ビデオ、ウェンブリー・アリーナとマンチェスターでのライヴ映像を収録。2006年リリース時にはCDとDVDが別々のパッケージとなっていたが、今回の再発に際してCD+DVDの2枚組のワンパッケージとして発売する（CD+DVDの商品は初）。
