収録時間:70分/音声:ステレオ2.0/dts-HDマスターオーディオ5.1(Blu-ray)/字幕:なし/画面:16:9 1984年に交響的組曲として作曲された「輝夜姫」は石井眞木(1936-2003)の代表作として知られています。本来、日本太鼓とパーカッションのために書かれましたが、その翌年にイリ・キリアンの委嘱により、「幻想的バレエ」として再編することになりました。石井は様々なストーリーが混在する「かぐや姫」の物語を自ら編纂し、台本を書き上げ、その際、竜笛、笙、篳篥の雅楽合奏を付け加えることで、一層神秘的な雰囲気を醸し出すことに成功しています。東洋の音と西洋の音を融合させることで、各々の登場人物の性格に対比を付けています。舞台上でのパーカッション群の配置も興味深いところです。キリアンの振付は、独特の動きの中にも仄かな「和」を感じさせ、気高い心や、入り組んだ愛情までが見事に表出されています。 ※Arthaus 100163 同内容のDVD版もあります。
