Following the Torumekian Armored Soldier and the Horseclaw, the latest addition to the Takeya-shiki Jizai Okimono "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" series are the soldiers who fight on the front lines of the "Dorok Principalities," a powerful multi-ethnic state that rivals the Kingdom of Torumekia in the original comic.Specializing in guerrilla warfare such as night raids, they are recognized even by Kushana as excellent warriors within the story.Their appearance, featuring helmets resembling ethnic masks and miasma masks, evokes a sense of unique culture and style.
In the Takeya-shiki Jizai Okimono series, Takayuki Takeya has arranged the design—a blend of indigenous ethnic styles and processing techniques inherited from advanced ancient civilizations—by analyzing Hayao Miyazaki's original comics and color illustrations. Yukio Fujioka handled the sculpting.The color scheme uses subdued tones while boldly incorporating reds and blues to emphasize an ethnic feel.Takeya's sense of arrangement, which creates a feeling that makes it unclear at first glance whether the subject is fictional or real, can be said to have a high affinity with the world of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind."The result is a Dorok soldier figure with a strong presence that conveys that even as a common soldier, each one is a living human being.
*Key Features:The appearance of the Dorok soldier, clad in grotesque armor, has been transformed into an articulated figure with a unique arrangement. A wide range of motion is maintained, including forward and backward shoulder swings and the movement of the kusazuri (tassets) around the waist made of soft material. The sculpting, which realistically expresses the human body wearing armor even within an imaginary design, is a must-see, featuring an exquisite finish that maintains natural proportions even when posed.
By lining them up with the Torumekian soldiers and Horseclaws currently on sale, you can recreate battlefield confrontation scenes between the Kingdom of Torumekia and the Dorok Principalities!The handheld weapons included are a large long gun equipped with a bayonet and a curved sword similar to a Japanese katana. These include details that emphasize a sense of reality while capturing the depictions from the original work. The sword can also be stored in the scabbard hanging from the waist by swapping the hilt.
