Following the Torumekia Armored Soldier and Trium, the latest installment in the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" series features soldiers fighting on the front lines of the "Doruku Feudal States Alliance," a powerful multi-ethnic nation that rivals the Torumekia Kingdom in the original manga.Skilled in guerrilla warfare such as night raids, they are recognized by Kushana as excellent warriors in the story.Their appearance, equipped with helmets resembling ethnic masks and miasma masks, conveys a unique culture and style.
In the Takeya-style Jizai Okimono, the design, a blend of indigenous ethnic styles and processing techniques inherited from advanced ancient civilizations, has been arranged by Takayuki Takeya after analyzing Hayao Miyazaki's original manga and color illustrations. Yukio Fujioka was responsible for the sculpting.The coloring, while subdued, boldly incorporates red and blue to emphasize the ethnic feel.Takeya's arrangement sense, which gives the impression of being neither clearly fictional nor real at first glance, is highly compatible with the world of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind."Even as common soldiers, the figures of the Doruku soldiers possess a strong presence, conveying that each one is a living human being.
※HighlightsThe Doruku soldier, clad in alien-like armor from head to toe, is brought to life as a movable figure with a unique arrangement. A wide range of motion is maintained, including forward and backward shoulder swings and the movement of the kusazuri (skirt armor) around the waist made of soft material. Even within the imaginative design, the realistic depiction of a human body wearing armor is a must-see, with a delicate finish that maintains natural proportions even when posed.
When displayed alongside the currently available Torumekia Soldier and Trium, you can recreate battle scenes between the Torumekia Kingdom and the Doruku Feudal States Alliance!The included weapons are a large, long gun equipped with a bayonet and a sword with a curve similar to a Japanese sword. While capturing the depiction in the original work, details are incorporated to emphasize realism. The sword can be stored in the sheath attached to the waist by replacing the hilt.
