- Awataguchi Kiyonobu -Descended from the lineage of Kyoto Awataguchi swordsmiths and Sanjo Kogaji Munetsune. The master craftsman Sanjo Kogaji Munetsune was responsible for the national treasure "Mikazuki Munetsune" and is enshrined at the "Kaji Shrine," a sub-shrine of Awata Shrine, located in the Awataguchi area.Following the abolition of swords, the family transitioned to producing decorative armor utilizing their accumulated metalworking techniques. The armor of Awataguchi Kiyonobu is characterized by its meticulous craftsmanship, with every detail consistently refined through handmade techniques.In 1989, certified as a Traditional Craftsman by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. In 2001, awarded the "Kyoto Master Craftsman" Kyoto Prefecture Traditional Industry Excellent Technical Achievement Award.A leading master craftsman in the Kyoto armor world, with a brilliant record in numerous competitions.
