Nakahora Farm GHEE is a delicious GHEE made from pure, grass-fed butter with no strong flavor! It is produced using traditional methods that are true to the original craftsmanship.
GHEE is a pure oil obtained by removing water and proteins from unsalted grass-fed butter (or fermented unsalted butter). It contains all the beneficial qualities of high-quality oils such as olive oil and coconut oil, and is said to be a "miracle oil" with even higher diet benefits.
Since it is almost pure fat (butter oil standards are 99.3% fat and less than 0.5% water; Nakahora Farm GHEE has 99.8% fat and 0.2% water), it is resistant to oxidation and can be stored at room temperature for a long time (some say up to 100 years or even permanently, but this cannot be verified).
When heated beyond its smoke point, free radicals such as reactive oxygen species can form, but GHEE's smoke point is 250°C.
Rich in saturated fatty acids and heat-resistant, it is ideal for frying, sautéing, and baking.

Nakahora Farm (Iwaizumi Town, Iwate Prefecture) employs a mountain dairy farming method with the concept of "happy cows producing healthy and delicious milk," operating approximately 130 hectares of pasture.
The cows do not eat imported corn-based feed in a barn; instead, they graze on wild grasses, herbs, and leaves that grow naturally with only the sun, moon, and rain. They drink mountain spring water or well water and spend the year freely in the mountains, day and night.
(There is a milking shed, but no conventional cow barn.)
Breeding is done through "natural mating, natural calving, and breastfeeding for about two months after birth."
By respecting the animals' natural diet and behavior, livestock grow healthily, which in turn benefits human health through the milk and meat they produce.
