This is the final installment of the project "Mozart Momentum" by Leif Ove Andsnes and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, which performs and records a masterpiece collection centered around five piano concertos written during Mozart's Vienna period in 1785 and 1786, his two peak years.

The 1786 edition, a two-disc set, also features masterpieces from the Vienna era, written in a style that can be described as contrasting light and shadow, with Piano Concerto No. 23 and No. 24 placed at both ends. It includes two chamber works, a rondo for piano solo, and a concert aria. Similar to the first release, due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, scheduled concerts were canceled, but fortunately, session recordings were made at the Vienna Musikverein under COVID-19 restrictions. All recordings are world premiere recordings by Andsnes.
