Music collection by Cicada, a representative chamber ensemble from Taiwan

A film adaptation of Keiichi Hirano's bestselling novel, which received the Yomiuri Literary Award and has sold over 250,000 copies, directed by the acclaimed Kei Ishikawa, known for works such as "The Fool" and "Fireworks."

The film features talented actors such as Satoshi Tsumabuki, Sakura Ando, and Masataka Kubota, and revolves around the emotional human mystery of the unidentified "certain man" and the true identity behind him. The music is handled by Cicada, a leading Taiwanese chamber ensemble. Formed in 2009, their first album was a huge hit in Taiwan. Director Ishikawa approached them with the desire to reflect "Asian sounds" in the film, leading to his first attempt at Japanese film music.

Inspired by Taiwan’s nature and wildlife, Cicada creates music that sometimes gently, sometimes sternly, delicately supports the story, resulting in a superb original soundtrack. The ensemble consists of violin, cello, acoustic guitar, and piano.
