KARA, celebrating their 15th debut anniversary, is restarting! On December 21, they will release an album in Japan and hold a fan meeting in Japan next February! For the first time in KARA's history, they will reunite as a “complete” members (Gyuri, Sunyoung, Nicole, Jiyoung, Youngji)!
Recently, KARA announced the release of an album in Korea on November 29 to commemorate their 15th anniversary, and it has been officially decided that they will release the album 『MOVE AGAIN － KARA 15TH ANNIVERSARY ALBUM [Japan Edition]』 in Japan on December 21, and hold a fan meeting in Japan from late February next year.
Since releasing their mini-album 『the First Bloooooming』 in Korea in March 2007, this year marks their 15th anniversary. Since their Japanese debut in 2010, KARA has left a significant impact on Japanese K-POP history, including performing at Tokyo Dome as the first K-POP girl group, setting numerous milestones.
Formed in 2007, the group has undergone several member changes, but this time, they will reunite as a “complete” five-member group including Gyuri, Sunyoung, Youngji, and adding Nicole and Jiyoung who left in 2014. This lineup's activity is a first in KARA's history and has become a topic of discussion.
This work, to be released in Japan on December 21, is the first release in Japan by KARA since the 『FOREVER KARA Blu-ray COMPLETE BOX 2010-2015 ~ALL JAPAN TOURS & CLIPS~』 in 2016, a span of six years. The album title “MOVE AGAIN” is said to express the desire to once again show fans the image of KARA on stage (MOVE) beautifully. It is a work filled with the members’ feelings of valuing fans who have supported them unwaveringly over a long period.
According to their agency RBW, KARA's members recently completed jacket photoshoots, and recording for the new album is in its final stages. The Japanese edition will include two discs: Disc 1 with six newly recorded songs (planned), and Disc 2, a best-of compilation featuring hit singles by KARA.
Furthermore, the first limited edition will include a DVD with music videos of the new songs, hit songs, and behind-the-scenes footage of the new MV shoot, allowing fans to enjoy both the latest KARA videos and hit songs.
