Mountain Valley Beekeeping is a small family-run apiary located at the northernmost tip of New Zealand's South Island, in Mount Richmond Forest Park.
Father, Marie, manages the hives and bees; mother, Nikki, handles bottling.

They do not perform high-temperature processing or filter filtration, delivering the honey's original flavor, aroma, minerals, amino acids, and enzymes in their natural state.

- **How long is the shelf life?**Honey is naturally a preservative and does not spoil. However, after about four years from harvest, the essential amino acids in the honey gradually decrease. Therefore, we set the expiration date four years after harvest.
- **Why does the honey's appearance vary? Does the taste change?**Primarily, local weather, flowering conditions, and storage temperature can cause differences in flavor and texture. Honey that is minimally processed is alive; all variations in taste and texture are gifts of nature. Please enjoy them.
