Mountain Valley Apiary is a small, family-run apiary that harvests honey in the Mount Richmond Forest Park at the northernmost tip of New Zealand's South Island.
Marie, the father, manages the beehives and bees, while Nicky, the mother, is in charge of bottling.
"Good honey requires the optimal environment, healthy bees, and good weather. Beyond that, the less we interfere, the better," says Marie.

- How long is the shelf life?
In fact, honey is known as a natural preservative and does not spoil. However, after about four years from harvest, essential amino acids in the composition begin to decrease gradually, so we set a shelf life of four years from harvest.
