**[Synopsis]**As part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's work-style reforms, the Mobile Investigative Unit (Kiso) was expanded from a three-unit system to a four-unit system. Kazumi Shima (Gen Hoshino) is summoned as a member of the newly established temporary "4th Kiso," but due to personnel trouble, he cannot find a partner. Out of necessity, he is ordered to pair up with Ai Ibuki (Go Ayano), a police box officer from Okutama who had previously been rejected during the candidate stage.
Anxious about what kind of person Ibuki is, Shima gathers information, only to find that while Ibuki is "exceptionally fast on his feet," he has moved through various departments in short periods. Former colleagues say things like "I don't want to talk about him" and "I never want to see his face again." The more Shima investigates, the more uneasy he becomes. Finally, the first day of the 4th Kiso mission arrives. Upon meeting for the first time, Ibuki is surprisingly polite, giving Shima a good impression, but...!
