Mirabassi, born in Italy, has been an anime fan since childhood and especially loves Studio Ghibli works. In 2015, he released "Animéssi ~Laputa: Castle in the Sky, etc.~," an album featuring covers of Ghibli works. In the same year, Director Hayao Miyazaki, who had been a long-time fan, attended Mirabassi's concert in Japan, and they have maintained contact since.
This new album consists solely of Ghibli works, with passionate performances by a skilled piano trio breathing new life into Ghibli's masterpieces.
Furthermore, the jacket design, featuring an illustration provided by Director Hayao Miyazaki, is a must-have for Ghibli fans. Director Hayao Miyazaki commented on this work, "I like Mirabassi's piano. It's freedom and passion, it's him."
