March 8, Showa 10 (1935). Japan's most famous stray dog, "Hachiko the Loyal Dog," passed away.
It is said that 10 years had passed since he continued to go to Shibuya Station to meet his deceased master, whom he would never be able to see again.
Even today, Hachi remains loved by many as a bronze statue at Shibuya's meeting spot, a taxidermied specimen at the National Museum of Nature and Science in Ueno, and an internal organ specimen at the University of Tokyo, where he used to go with his master.
This is a renewal of the 2002 publication, "Picture Book: The True Story of Hachiko," in a mini picture book size.
