The micro:bit is a board created by the UK's public broadcaster, the BBC, to help children learn programming.
It is used as a STEM education material in over 200 elementary schools in Japan and in more than 40 countries worldwide, including the United States, Canada, and Singapore.
*STEM education refers to the acronym formed by S: Science, T: Technology, E: Engineering, and M: Mathematics.
There is an increasing emphasis on acquiring "science and technology" skills in educational settings globally, starting with the United States, and the importance of STEM education is also growing in Japan.
The set includes the parts necessary for the curriculum, so you can start learning immediately after purchase without confusion about what to study.
An original learning material booklet, jointly produced by Professor Kawaharada, a leading expert in robotics education, and SBC&S Co., Ltd., is included.
The "Advance Set" allows you to combine the sensors and parts built into the micro:bit to create musical instruments that make sounds, build original robots, and challenge yourself with advanced crafting projects. The possibilities are endless, limited only by your imagination! Includes 8 special parts for immediate learning and easy-to-understand learning materials.
Contents: micro:bit main unit, main unit case, Micro USB cable, battery box, learning materials, expansion connector (GROVE shield), ultrasonic sensor, speaker, alligator clips.
Package size: Width 26.00cm x Height 4.5cm x Depth 18.8cm.
This is a small computer board designed for children to learn programming.
You program it on a computer connected to the internet, and then transfer the created program to the micro:bit to execute tasks.
Using Microsoft's MakeCode editor, you can easily program the micro:bit using either blocks or JavaScript.
Since it uses a block-based programming language, even those new to programming can easily get started.
