Recurrent Treatment Medication for Vaginal Candidiasis

**What is Vaginal Candidiasis?**
Vaginal candidiasis is an inflammation caused by a fungus (a type of mold) called Candida. It is a common infection of the female genital area, but proper treatment is essential.

**Typical Symptoms of Vaginal Candidiasis**
Infection may cause changes in the amount and appearance of vaginal discharge (resembling cottage cheese or cloudy, wine-cask-like), and itching accompanied by redness, swelling, or rash in the vulvar area.

**Precautions for Use**
*Do not use if:*
1. You have never been diagnosed or treated for vaginal candidiasis by a doctor.
2. You have recurrent vaginal candidiasis (more than once in 2 months or more than twice in 6 months).
3. You are unsure whether you have recurrent vaginal candidiasis.
4. You have a fever or chills.
5. You experience nausea or vomiting.
6. You have lower abdominal pain.
7. You have irregular or abnormal bleeding, or discharge mixed with blood.
8. You have ulcers, blisters, or pain in the vagina or vulva.
9. You have painful urination or difficulty urinating.
10. You have severe soreness.
11. You have been diagnosed with diabetes.
12. You have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients.
13. You are pregnant or suspect pregnancy.
14. You are over 60 years old or under 15 years old.

*Do not use on:*
- Areas other than the vulva (such as nails, scalp, eyes).

**Consultation Before Use**
*Please consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if:*
1. You are undergoing medical treatment.
2. You are breastfeeding.
3. You have had allergic reactions to medications or other products.

**If any of the following symptoms appear after use, discontinue immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist with this instruction leaflet, as side effects may be present:**
- Skin: irritation, redness, itching, rash, pain (stinging sensation).

**If no improvement is observed after 3 days of use or symptoms do not disappear after 6 days, discontinue use and see a doctor.**
Even if the medication alone is ineffective, do not self-treat; seek medical advice.

**Indications and Effects**
For itching of the vulva accompanied by rash due to recurrent vaginal candidiasis (only for those previously diagnosed and treated by a doctor).
*Note:* If vaginal symptoms (discharge, heat sensation, etc.) are present, use this product together with a vaginal medication (inserted into the vagina).

**Usage and Dosage**
Adults (15 to under 60 years): Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 2-3 times daily.
*If no improvement after 3 days or symptoms persist after 6 days, consult a doctor.*

1. For vulvar symptoms only: Use this product.
*It is preferable to use with a vaginal medication.*
2. For vaginal symptoms (discharge, heat sensation, etc.): Use with a vaginal medication.

**Precautions Regarding Usage and Dosage**
- Wash hands thoroughly with soap before and after use.
- Be careful not to get into your eyes. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with water or lukewarm water and see an ophthalmologist promptly.
- Do not use during menstruation. If menstruation begins during use, stop and consult a doctor for confirmation of healing.

- Additives: Polysorbate 60, Stearic acid sorbitan, Cetostearyl alcohol, Liquid paraffin, Vaseline

**Storage and Handling Precautions**
- Keep away from contact with latex rubber products such as condoms, as it may degrade or damage them.
- Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, tightly sealed.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not transfer to other containers to prevent misuse or quality deterioration.
- Do not use products past the expiration date. Once opened, use as soon as possible.

**Lifestyle Tips**
- Recurrent vaginal candidiasis may indicate partner infection; inform your partner and advise them to see a doctor if they experience symptoms like itching or redness.
- Avoid sexual activity during treatment to prevent infection transmission.
- Do not use spermicidal agents during treatment to avoid irritation.
- During bathing, avoid soap on the vulva; rinse lightly with water only.
- Candida bacteria thrive in warm, humid conditions; keep the area dry.
- After bathing or swimming, dry the outside of the vagina thoroughly. Change wet clothes promptly.
- Use sanitary products like panty liners frequently and change them often.
- Wear breathable cotton underwear.
- Use clean underwear and towels daily; do not share towels with family to prevent infection.
- Candida is also present in the intestines; wipe from front to back after using the toilet to prevent intestinal infection.
- Do not scratch the vulva even if it itches, as this can worsen irritation or spread infection.
