Kuniki KatoCurrently creating as the third generation at Nishiki Ceramic Painting Garden.He produces works consistently from clay to finished products, mainly making tea utensils, tableware, and obi-dori (kimono sash accessories). All works are handmade and hand-painted, which are fundamental techniques of Kyoto ware and Kiyomizu ware.
Kuniki Kato's Ceramic Career:
- 1975: Born in Kyoto.- 1998: Graduated from Kyoto Prefectural Pottery Technical College, Forming Department.- 1999: Completed the graduate course at the same school.- 2000: Completed the ceramics course at Kyoto City Industrial Testing Institute.- 2000: Studied under Shoho Ito.- 2002: Studied under Kousen Tanaka.- 2003–Present: Creating as the third generation at Nishiki Ceramic Painting Garden.
