Product Description
1. Matcha is particularly susceptible to high temperatures, humidity, light, and absorbing odors among green teas, so please store it in the refrigerator.
2. Pull-top cans protect against humidity, light, and absorbing odors, but are susceptible to high temperatures, so please store them in the refrigerator.
3. Household refrigerators can easily transfer odors from other foods. After opening, close the can lid tightly and transfer the contents to an airtight container for storage.
4. After opening, avoid storing in the freezer. The significant temperature difference with the outside air can cause condensation when the lid is opened, leading to moisture and spoilage.
5. High-quality matcha that can be used for thick tea (koicha) can also be enjoyed as thin tea (usucha). Please try it.
Marukyu Koyamaen's matcha uses no artificial flavors or colors.
For tea ceremonies and practice, the approximate amount per person is 1.5g-2g for thin tea and 3g-4g for thick tea.
Authentic matcha from Marukyu Koyamaen. For thin tea. A matcha with a light astringency, umami, and a distinct blue aroma. Please prepare it slightly thinner. It also pairs well with confections when mixed with milk or cream.
*To maintain quality, please be sure to store refrigerated.
Summer "Cold Thin Tea"
Place 2 scoops of sifted matcha with a tea scoop, or 1 lightly packed teaspoon (2g) per person, into a tea bowl.
Pour cold water into the tea bowl. (If the matcha tends to clump, mix it with a little hot water first to break up the clumps.)
Whisk with a tea whisk, drawing a "ri" shape.
Once the water and matcha are mostly mixed, move the tea whisk up and down to combine.
