A beautiful homage to Alvar Aalto's "Wave," this white birch pot stand was designed as a prize-winning entry in a design competition held in 1998 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of architect Alvar Aalto's birth. The "White Birch Pot Stand," inspired by Aalto's "Wave," was designed by Jani Martikainen while he was still in university. It has already established an unshakable position at the Helsinki Design Museum and Alvar Aalto shops. Made from birch plywood, it features melamine processing to resist moisture and dirt.
