遠く鎌倉時代建立の三十三間堂にまつられた、自然の神格化とされる“風神”“雷神”の 彫刻を見ての着想と伝えられ、その大胆なスケッチ、恐ろしさとユーモラスさを兼ね揃えた作品ゆえ、国宝 に指定される。
そんな名画をシルク印刷で再現することにより、あざやかに“ 風神”“雷神”の息吹を感じることができる屏風です。
