The stainless steel tip is made in Tsubame-Sanjo, and the handle part (ABS resin and silicone rubber) is produced at a domestic factory in Japan, making it a purely Japanese-made product.
It is produced with a focus on safety and security, and is committed to being completely made in Japan.
Developed in collaboration with health nurses who are experts in food education, it is designed to be easy to use for Japanese children’s hands and mouths.

"Finger grip is very important." It is said that the way infants (babies) hold a spoon or fork progresses in the order of palm grip from above (around 1 year old), pinching from above with thumb and index finger (from 1 to 2.5 years old), and pencil grip (from late 2 years old).
Once the "finger grip" is achieved, transitioning to the "pencil grip" becomes smoother, bringing the finger posture closer to that used when holding chopsticks in the future.
However, this important "finger grip" is generally difficult to achieve with regular spoons and forks.
This product, [Koko Mogu], is an educational cutlery designed so that the thumb, index finger, and middle finger naturally rest in positions that facilitate "finger grip," and it is designed to be close to the finger posture used when holding a pencil or chopsticks, serving as future chopsticks.
Developed in collaboration with active health nurses, who serve as total coordinators supporting parenting.
We developed the product together with active health nurses.
Consulted with health nurses knowledgeable about educational and food education, regarding what kind of spoon and fork are optimal as a preliminary practice before holding chopsticks, and what shapes facilitate a smooth transition to the "pencil grip" finger posture. We have been progressing step by step toward product completion with the cooperation of mothers and fathers with children around 1 to 2.5 years old through surveys.

"Made in Tsubame-Sanjo, famous for metalworking." The stainless steel parts of the spoon and fork are crafted by artisans from "Tsubame-Sanjo," a city renowned for metalworking.
Tsubame-Sanjo products have a level of finishing that is vastly superior, and even small products like baby spoons and forks are carefully finished one by one.
The craftsmanship passed down in this artisan town since the Edo period has been further refined and is still alive today.
Since the parts that come into direct contact with children’s (infants and babies) mouths are made in the traditional Japanese city of Tsubame-Sanjo, safety is high, and the entire product, including the main body, is made in Japan (purely domestic product).
"Supervised by a dentist." Along with food education, the importance of "oral development" is also emphasized.
Proper oral development helps align teeth and bite, and is expected to reduce future dental treatment risks.
It is also said that oral development positively influences language development and overall health.
