The master craftsman Sanjo Kogaji Munetsune was the artisan behind the national treasure "Mikazuki Munetsune" and is enshrined at the auxiliary shrine "Kaji Shrine" within Awata Shrine, located in the Awata area.Following the abolition of swords, the family transitioned to crafting decorative armor utilizing their accumulated metalworking techniques. The armor of Awata-guchi Kiyonobu is characterized by its meticulous, entirely handmade craftsmanship down to the finest details.In 1989, recognized as a Traditional Craftsman by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
