This EP is a culmination of LubySparks' recent activities, which have been fulfilling not only in Japan but also internationally.
"Songs for The Daydreamers" is a 4-track EP that returns to their roots of shoegaze/indie sound.
It includes the indie rock/shoegaze sound "Stayaway," the refreshing indie pop number "Somebody Else," the new experimental track "NOT Okay" where electronic beats and shoegaze coexist, and a cover of Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Maps."
Co-produced by Hitoshi Yoshida, cover art by Brooklyn artist Annika White, and mastered by Kentaro Kimura (Kimken Studio).
"Songs of The Hazy Memories"
Following the 4-track EP "Songs for The Daydreamers" released in May 2024, this is the 4-track EP "Songs of The Hazy Memories." It features 4 substantial tracks that further deepen the elements of their previous work, "Songs for The Daydreamers," which returned to their shoegaze/indie roots.
In addition to the three previously released tracks – the heavy shoegaze "Broken Headphones," the alternative synth-pop "Overrated!," and the indie pop/guitar pop sound "Summer Days" – it includes LubySparks' new experimental track "Faith," which fuses shoegaze with a danceable beat and synth bassline, creating a drum and bass sound.
