A romantic fantasy film where the light of love can be seen—about a man who can see the light of love and three women who fall in love, engaging in a heated debate over the definition of "love."

This film is an adaptation of the manga of the same name by Eda Aki, serialized from 2013 to 2017 in Ultra Jump (Shueisha) and compiled into volumes.
It depicts the first love of a male university student with a peculiar trait: he can see women who are in love shining brightly and sparkling.
The story explores the question, "What is love?" through the protagonist and others contemplating the definition of "love."

The film is a literary and philosophical romantic movie that combines reality and fantasy.
Because of his unique ability to see women in love shining, the protagonist Saijō, played by Fūma Kamine, had been avoiding love.
Kamine has appeared in notable works such as "3-nen A-gumi: Ima kara Minasan wa, Hitojichi desu" (NTV, 2019) and "HIGH&LOW THE WORST" (2019).

The heroine, Kitashiro, who has always harbored feelings for Saijō but remains in the childhood friend role, is played by Nanase Nishino.
Nishino has appeared in numerous works including "Your Turn" (NTV, 2019) and "Koro no Chi LEVEL2" (2021), showing remarkable activity.

Shinonome, who, like Saijō, has no romantic experience and is exploring love, is played by Yuna Taira.
Fumika Baba plays Tsumugi, who has a bad habit of stealing other people's boyfriends but genuinely wants to love sincerely.

As they consider the definition of love, the story gradually develops into a mysterious love quadrangle, and the fate of each of the four characters' love is also a point of interest.
The screenplay and direction are by Keiichi Kobayashi, known for the visually beautiful films "Momoiro Sora o" (2013) and "Korasanaike to Shinanai Kanojo" (2019), highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally.
The film captures the atmosphere of the original work with scenic, emotionally rich locations.

● Story
Saijō, a university student with the peculiar trait of being able to see women in love shining brightly, leads a life unrelated to romance.
One day, he meets a literary girl named Shinome who says she wants to learn about love, and he falls in love at first sight. They start exchanging diaries to discuss the "definition of love."
Their interactions disturb his childhood friend Kitashiro, who has been secretly in love with him.

Furthermore, Tsumugi, who has a bad habit of stealing others' boyfriends, mistakes Saijō for Kitashiro's boyfriend and begins to pursue him aggressively.
Before they realize it, the four of them start pondering "What is love?" leading to a mysterious love quadrangle...
Can they solve the centuries-old question of "love" that humanity has struggled with?
And what will be the outcome of each of their loves?
