リアルさと可動フィギュアとの組み合わせを両立した1/12スケール組み立てキット「リトルアーモリー」。
日露戦争後の明治38年 (1905年)から第二次世界大戦終結までの40年に渡って日本の制式小銃を務めたボルトアクション・ライフル。
全長は1276mm (着剣時1670mm)、6.5×50mm弾を使用する。
開発者は有坂成章氏の部下である南部麒次郎氏。
前任の三十年式小銃を基に、ボルト構造のシンプル化と安全対策の追加、砂塵対策のダストカバー追加など、戦訓に基づく改良が施されていた。
この火器と対峙していた米国からの評価も高く、戦後米国に渡ってアリサカ・タイプ38の名で活躍したものも多い。
本製品は「陸上自衛隊 武器学校」の取材を通じて三八式小銃を精密に模型化。
ボルトパーツは各形態とダストカバーの有無で6種類から選択可能。
付属の三十年式銃剣は着脱可能。
リアサイトは起倒選択式。
成型色を茶と黒の2色使用。
1/12スケール ランナーキット (無彩色)・樹脂製 (PS)。※プラモデル用接着剤使用推奨。
