**.co.jp Special Bonus:** A5 Character Fine Mat
The legendary manga that revolutionized Weekly Shonen Jump in the 1980s, "Wingman," has been adapted into live-action for the first time!
**Overview**
In the 1980s, "Wingman" by Masakazu Katsura was published in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump." During the golden era of the magazine, when many popular works competed, it established a unique position and received high popularity and acclaim. At that time, an anime and game adaptation had already been realized, but after 40 years since serialization, this is the first live-action adaptation.
The director and action director for all episodes is Koichi Sakamoto, a leading figure in the special effects and action film industry, known for his work on the Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Ultraman series.
For the live-action adaptation, the original author Masakazu Katsura was involved as "General Supervisor," contributing ideas to ensure a seamless conversion without any sense of dissonance.
Furthermore, a fresh and talented cast, including the up-and-coming Makoto Fujioka, along with staff who hold a sincere respect for the original work, have gathered.
Thanks to this "ideal live-action adaptation" dreamed of by many fans, "Wingman" has gained a new fan base. Further growth and development are expected.
**Story**
Kenta Hirono (Makoto Fujioka), who has dreamed of becoming a hero since childhood and was obsessed with TV tokusatsu hero shows, wears a self-made costume, mimics hero techniques and poses, and boldly admonishes delinquents who break the rules of the city.
One day, he encounters a mysterious beautiful girl, Aoi (Kona Kato). Aoi has come to this three-dimensional world to escape from the evil forces trying to dominate the otherworldly dimension Podrimus.
Kenta draws the "Dorem Note" that Aoi possesses, depicting the imaginary hero "Wingman." As a result, Kenta is able to transform into Wingman himself. However, numerous assassins targeting Aoi appear one after another in the three-dimensional world.
Can Wingman, Kenta, fulfill his hero duty?
