■ From the Producer
In the autumn of 1956, Lev Oborin made his first visit to Japan from the former Soviet Union and conducted studio sessions between his nationwide performances. This LP was first released in 1956, and only Mussorgsky was re-released in 1959, but it has not been available since. Furthermore, the recording data was unknown, but we have now obtained detailed materials (dates, engineer names, equipment used, pianos used, etc.) and have reproduced it in its complete form. While Oborin often has the image of an accompanist, his orthodox and rich musicality is highly regarded by discerning piano fans. As expected, being the winner of the first Chopin Competition was no mere coincidence.

《Disclaimer》The master tape or copy tape for this sound source does not exist, and this CD is a reproduction from an LP. As the material is over 60 years old, there is a considerable amount of LP-specific noise. Please understand this point. (Naoya Hirabayashi)
