About the Artist
Kuricorder Quartet Profile
An instrumental band also known for NHK E Tele's "PythagoraSwitch" and the song commonly called "The Theme of a Lazy Darth Vader." In their 21st year, they transitioned to a three-member formation. Since then, they have welcomed various guests and perform over 100 concerts annually both domestically and internationally, including in concert halls. Their accessible musicality, using familiar instruments like recorders, melodicas, and ukuleles, has inspired many to say, "I want to try playing an instrument!" and is welcomed by all generations. Since 2015, they have been engaged in cultural exchange projects with Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia as Kuricorder & Friends. In September 2016, they released the collaboration album "Hirocoder☆Kuricorder" with Hiroko Taniyama, which was well-received.
