Kyureikon is a mixture of ten raw ingredients, including medicinal herbs. It is kneaded with water before use, applied to a cloth, and then affixed to the affected area. After a few tens of minutes, a warming sensation is felt, and analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects appear.
As it is a poultice, it is used for neuralgia, rheumatism, stiff shoulders, and lower back pain, but it is also effective for colds, pleurisy, peritonitis, hemorrhoids, toothaches, tonsillitis, and mastitis.
We have received feedback from customers requesting improvements for easier use, such as eliminating the need to knead with water. However, at present, this is the only method to achieve the effects of Kyureikon, and the formulation has remained unchanged for over 80 years.
In the past, the kneaded medicine was applied to a cloth and then affixed to the body. Currently, we also sell "Kyureikon Sheets" for application. These sheets have adhesive around the edges for easy application. The medicine kneaded with water is spread onto the Kyureikon Sheet and then affixed to the body.
