【What is Ichifude Ryu?】As the name suggests, the dragon is drawn with a single brushstroke (Ichifude) without interruption, expressing wishes and prayers. It is believed that this method ensures 『unbroken development and financial luck』『endless connections through good relationships and growth』『continued protection and safety』. Since the Edo period (1603–1868), for approximately 400 years, the protective and beneficial power of these dragons has been highly revered, worshipped, and passed down as divine beings.

【Kyoto Ichifude Ryu Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate, where he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Ryu』 technique, which has been passed down since ancient times. He was deeply impressed by its technique and history, felt it was his destiny, and learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Ryu from the Edo period, he pursues the art with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (learning, detachment, mastery). He is one of only three known Ichifude Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable encounters, he was guided to establish his studio in Higashiyama, Kyoto, the ancient capital where dragons are believed to dwell.
