【What is Ichifude Ryu?】As the name suggests, the dragon is drawn with a single brush stroke (Ichifude) without interruption, while containing wishes and prayers. 【Kyoto Ichifude Ryu Artist / Keisuke Tejima】Since childhood, he has been fascinated by dragons and has continued to draw dragon images. Influenced by 14 years of practicing karate from age 6, through which he learned the spirit of Japanese martial arts, he encountered the traditional 『Ichifude Ryu』 and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, feeling it was his destiny. He learned the technique through self-study. While preserving the tradition of Ichifude Ryu passed down since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of 【Shuhari】 (a concept of mastery and evolution). He is one of only three known Ichifude Ryu artists in Japan. Originally from Fukuoka Prefecture, through various coincidences and inevitable connections, he was guided to establish his atelier in Higashiyama, Kyoto, a city with a 1,000-year history where dragon gods dwell.
