### ■ Hiro Yokoyama as the struggling manga artist, Kanō, and Eito Kawahara as Kotaro…
The legendary duo is back!
In this work, Hiro Yokoyama plays the protagonist, the unsuccessful manga artist Shin Kanō.
Yokoyama, who made his first lead role in a drama in the previous work, also performed well as the older brother of the protagonist in NHK's morning drama "Maiagare!" (2022).
Having grown even more as an actor, Yokoyama returns to the world of "Kotaro wa Hitori Kurashi" as Kanō.

And we must not forget Eito Kawahara, who plays Kotaro Sato, a boy with a complicated background living alone.

### ■ The worries of Kotaro, now in elementary school…
What answers will Kanō and Kotaro come up with?
Kanō, a struggling manga artist, was living a lazy life in an apartment where children are not allowed.
One day, he has a shocking encounter with five-year-old Kotaro Sato (at the time), who has moved into the neighboring room under mysterious circumstances.
This encounter makes Kanō realize the importance of responsibility and caring for others, and he begins to grow little by little.

Despite being more responsible than anyone else, Kotaro occasionally shows his childlike honest feelings.
In this work, Kotaro has entered elementary school!
He no longer needs to be taken to kindergarten or have lunch prepared for him, and he confidently heads to elementary school alone.
Kanō and the residents of "Shimizu Apartments" feel a little lonely watching Kotaro go off on his own.

However, Kotaro also has a secret worry…
It involves his mother, whom he wishes he could live with someday, and his future with his father…

### ● Story
In a certain town, there is an old-fashioned apartment called "Shimizu Apartments."
Today, as well, the unsuccessful manga artist Shin Kanō (Yokoyama Hiro) is about to be dumped by his girlfriend after finishing a deadline.
Meanwhile, on the same floor, the boy Kotaro Sato (Eito Kawahara), who is living alone for some mysterious reason, quietly prepares for his morning.

This spring, Kotaro happily entered elementary school.
Carrying his randoseru (school bag), he goes to school alone, watched over by Kanō, Mizuki Akiyama, and the building's owner, Grandma Shimizu (Issei Ohtake), with a mix of pride and a little sadness.

One day, Kotaro suddenly announces he will start "Shokugyo Kunren" (career training).
He visits Mizuki at the café where she works, Grandma Shimizu, and his best friend Yū Iwanaga (Sō Matsushima), trying to learn various things.
Kanō, confused by his intentions, learns that Kotaro wants to "live independently by acquiring skills because he doesn't know when the 'kind donations' from others will end," and he offers, "Shall I help with your work too?"

Kotaro begins helping Kanō with his work just before a deadline, but a small mistake ruins the manuscript…!
Panicked, Kotaro leaves without a word, taking the manuscript with him…?
