A tribal funk masterpiece cover by KONCOS is now available on vinyl!
KONCOS delivers a human-powered, dance music cover of "Bongo Song," the tribal funk masterpiece by UK-based Japanese producer ZONGAMIN! This highly anticipated 7-inch release also includes a dub remix by the promising unit KENSINGTON AND HAUS!
"Bongo Song" is a hit track released by UK-based Japanese producer ZONGAMIN on ED BANGER in 2005, and was played by popular DJs such as JUSTICE and 2'MANY DJS. The 3-piece band KONCOS, active in live houses and clubs across Japan based in Shimokitazawa, delivers a powerful cover of this track! It was released digitally only in June 2020, and is now finally available on vinyl!
While faithfully reproducing the tribal and funky sound of the original song, this dance cover features a more robust bass and piano riff, guaranteed to make an impact on the dance floor.
Side-B features a vintage-infused dub remix by "KENSINGTON AND HAUS," a dub soul unit to watch, whose debut release is upcoming and features members including RSD a.k.a Rob Smith, known for his work with Bristol sound giants Smith & Mighty.
