以前「Concept」レーベルから突如発売されたテンシュテット&シュトゥットガルト放送交響楽団のブラームスとマルティヌー。このレーベル自体謎であり、以降のリリース予定がアナウンスされていたにも拘らず、その後一切消息不明となっており、なおかつ「日本のみ」で発売されていたという不思議な音源です。今回はICA CLASICCSが正式なライセンス契約を結び、発売に至ったもので、CD本体には「初リリース」と記されています。ブラームスでの溢れるパトス、美しい弦とふくよかな木管楽器の響きはとりわけ高く評価されていおり、またマルティヌーはレパートリーの珍しさでも注目を集めたものです。
