About the Fabric:
Uses vibrant kimono and obi fabrics that were worn on celebratory days in the Showa era. Some materials and weaves are rare and have already ceased production. The patterns include auspicious floral motifs, birds, gold thread, embroidery, and Nishijin weaving, collected from all over Japan. Due to the high-quality raw materials, this product is only possible as a remade, recycled, and upcycled item.

About the Sewing:
Manufactured in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, the largest bag production area in the country. Made by skilled bag artisans at companies that sell materials for bags and have their own factories for YKK zippers. Pattern placement, orientation, and the front/back of the obi are decided in Tokyo, then molds are produced at a dedicated factory, which are used to cut the fabric and sew the bag. Since kimono and obi fabrics vary in thickness, embroidery, and texture, each piece is unique and requires meticulous craftsmanship. It is said that even experienced artisans find sewing these fabrics challenging. The traditional craft of Yagi bamboo basketry, originating from the "Kago" (basket) technique mentioned in the Kojiki, has been passed down for over a thousand years, ensuring strict quality control in production.

Fabric: The kimono, obi, and obi cords used are previously worn or stored items. Therefore, there may be creases, small stains, dirt, scratches, or deterioration. While efforts are made to exclude these, some may remain. Please understand that the product is a recycled, upcycled item from older materials.

Color: We take great care to display accurate colors, but differences may occur between the photos and the actual product due to monitor settings on computers or mobile devices. Please understand this in advance.

Size: Although cut with molds and sewn by skilled artisans, the thickness and embroidery of each kimono and obi vary, which may cause slight size discrepancies, especially with thicker or heavily embroidered items. Your understanding is appreciated.

Handling: The kimono, obi, and cords are presumed to be silk, but due to their used condition, this cannot be guaranteed. (The Consumer Affairs Agency states that there is no obligation to specify this on the product.) Please wash with a silk-compatible detergent or consult a professional kimono cleaner. Be cautious of color bleeding or transfer caused by water, sweat, friction, or rain. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to prevent discoloration or hardening. Store in a well-ventilated, dark place away from other items, avoiding high humidity and heat. Be careful to prevent snagging or friction from nails or protrusions. The magnetic clasp may affect electronic devices such as watches, IC cards, or pacemakers; please handle with care.
